Terrie R. Cook
Beauty and Booklets Fashion Instructor
Entrepreneur, CEO, and Fashion Stylist.
Growing up, her mother would dress her in cute little dresses with girly bobby socks or tights and shiny black patent leather shoes. Every hair on her head would be in place, pushed up into a neat bun with a colorful ribbon matching her dress or outfit.
Ironically, the pristine, fresh girly look her mother would work so diligently to achieve would be short-lived. Within minutes of getting dressed, she would get dirty or ruin the cute bobby socks or tights that she had just put on her.
Terrie says in her business today, she often shares this and similar stories along with some of the questions that ring loud and clear in her head. “My mother would ask some of the following when I became disheveled: Why are you so dirty? How did you tear your tights? Why is your hair all over your head? Why can’t you just be still? I just got you dressed. I smile and chuckle every time I think of these questions because I truly believe these questions had a huge impact on the way that I am today.”
Terrie has a keen attention to detail in style and fashion. Because of her love for fashion, she “shows up” intact, in her own style, when heading out into the public. While she has an innate gift to “show up” intact personally, she also has a calling to teach and coach others to do the same through her boutique.
On August 9, 2014, Terrie fulfilled another one of her callings and became the proud owner and operator of Simply D’Vine Boutique, a boutique, that sells clothing accessories and most importantly, CONFIDENCE. There is something for everyone, The Young at Heart, The Moderately Chic and The Sophisticated.
